Summary: Shavetta Gupta met her husband Rajesh, who lived in the United States with his family, through family connections. They arranged a meeting for the couple when he visited India for a wedding. Shavetta was excited to meet him because she and her siblings had always fantasized about living in the US. Accompanied by her sister, Shavetta met Rajesh in a park. They didn't have any questions for each other before agreeing to marriage. Within sixteen days, they had an engagement ceremony and a wedding. Her husband returned to the US soon after, but they talked on the phone every day until they were reunited in New York.
